One has to miss to hit,
be the best and be far from it,
never settle for the simple
satisfaction of the norm.
Throw the dart into the mist
and hope it finds its target,
though the target won't exist
until the dart is thrown.
One must walk a path that's theirs,
but is it theirs until they walk it?
When one chooses not to follow,
they must do much more than lead.
They must face the unknown
with no map or man to guide them
and struggle with the unexplained
until a new world is achieved.
